Carol C. (Spriet) Nunn

Carol C. Nunn, age 80, of Geneva passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Presence Mercy Medical Center in Aurora surrounded by her loving family.

She was born February 28, 1937 in Geneva, the daughter of Albert and Gertrude (Zavitz) Spriet.

Carol loved the ocean and was an avid reader of murder mysteries. She liked to play games and was especially fond of Solitaire and once won $6000.00 playing Bingo.  She appeared on the game show $100,000 Fortune Hunt.  Her favorite pastime however was spending time with her family.  She was a loving mother and grandmother and she will be dearly missed.

Carol is survived by her children Charles (Nancy) of Oklahoma, Karen of Geneva, James (Amy) of St. Charles; grandchildren Heather (Kris), Kyle, Tom (Jamie), Brooke, Spencer, Carol, Alice, Scott, Dona, Dyan, and Samantha; 12 great grandchildren; brother Alan (Dee) Spriet of California; and many other dear relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Michael Spriet; and her son David.

A visitation for Carol will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 9:00 am until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva, with Pastor Jerry Shaffer, officiating.

Burial will follow at River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia.

In lieu of flowers, memorials made to Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Illinois Chapter, 8430 W. Bryn Mawr, Suite 800, Chicago, Illinois 60631 would be appreciated.
