Agnes M. Ostendorf

Agnes M. Ostendorf, age 95, of Crystal Lake, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020, at Northwestern Delnor Hospital in Geneva with her loving family by her side.

She was born on October 25, 1924, in Germany the daughter of Johann & Gesina (Preuth) Landwehr.

Agnes was a professional seamstress. She was an avid reader and loved crafting. However, in her spare time, her greatest enjoyment was spending time with family and friends. She was very kind and loving and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her children Barbara (Timothy Miller) Lewis of St. Charles, Maria (Fred) Smith of Colorado; grandchildren Maria (Matt) Newman, Burton (Linda) Smith, Adrian Miller, and Alex Miller; great-grandchildren Lucas Newman, Josie Newman, and Elsie Sheets; and many other dear relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and her dear husband Franz Ostendorf who passed away in 2004.

A private service is being arranged by Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva. Burial will follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Des Plaines, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, memorials made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
