OBITUARY:

Vera L. Larson age 91 of St. Charles passed away Saturday July 10, 2010 at Palos Community Hospital.

She was born July 26, 1918 in Highland Park, Illinois the daughter of Axel and Betty Johnson.

Vera was born and raised in Highland Park, IL. She married Harold W. Larson on June 2, 1945 and they made their home in St. Charles. She was a longtime member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed gardening and especially spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter Lori Ann (Anthony) Porter of Lexington, Mass. and son Steve (Janice) Larson of Frankfort, IL.; five grandchildren Amy (Will) Duffel, T.J. Porter, Matthew (Angie), Kyle (Sarah) and Gregory Larson; Great-grandchild Grant Axel Larson; sister Edith Anderson of Highland Park and nieces Nancy Anderson and Donna Hill.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Harold W.

Funeral service will be held Monday July 19, 2010 at 11:00 am at Bethlehem Lutheran Church 1145 N. 5th Ave. St. Charles, with Rev. Mark Larson officiating.

Burial will follow in North Cemetery in St. Charles.

Visitation will be held Monday July 19 from 9:00 am until the time of the service at the church.
