Visitation: Visitation will be held Monday July 5, 2010 from 6:00-9:00 pm at the Malone Funeral Home 324 East State Street (Rt. 38), Geneva

Service: Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 10:00 am at the United Methodist Church of Geneva 211 Hamilton Street, Geneva, with Rev. William D. Obalil officiating

Burial Location: Interment will be private

OBITUARY:

Albert E. Armbruster age 83 of Geneva passed away Friday July 2, 2010 at Provena Geneva Care Center surrounded by his family.

He was born November 3, 1926 in Chicago, IL, the son of Albert and Theadora (Shrepffer) Armbruster.

Mr. Armbruster was a combat medic in the Army during the Korean Conflict, and a longtime member of the American Legion Post #75 in Geneva. He had worked many years as a painter at Geneva Kitchens and also at Furnas Electric. He enjoyed working as a school crossing guard and interacting with children for 10 years at Harrison Street and Route 38 in Geneva. He was also a longtime member of the United Methodist Church of Geneva.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years Barbara (Rush-Ulin); children Beverly (Ed) Pearce of Marshall, Paul (Jill Smith) Armstad of Lewistown, MT, Peter (Zetta) Armbruster of Chandler, AZ, Brett of St. Charles; Daughter-in-law Sandy Armstad of Lewistown, MT; also survived by Barbara/'/s children Joselle (Bill) Roloff of Elgin, Marisa (Mark) Lucas of West Chicago, Paul (JoAnn) Ulin of West Chicago, John (Melody) Ulin of Geneva, and Barbara Preston of Escondido, CA; as well as 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Audrey Arbizzani, who passed away in 1983.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 10:00 am at the United Methodist Church of Geneva 211 Hamilton Street, Geneva, with Rev. William D. Obalil officiating.

Interment will be private.
