Kenneth "Ken" Eugene Costigan, age 66, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024, at Hospice of the Valley Dobson Home in Chandler, AZ.
He was born September 4, 1957, in Staten Island, NY, the son of Arthur and Mary (Munley) Costigan. Ken had a passion for cooking and often made ice sculptures for banquets.
He worked as an Executive Chef at many top hotels and resorts including Stouffers in Oak Brook, IL; Traverse City, MI; Key Largo, FL; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Pinehurst Country Club in North Carolina; and The Phoenician in Phoenix, AZ to name a few. Ken was very proud of the various culinary awards he had received in his career. He was actively involved with his church and his local Knights of Columbus chapter supporting his community through charitable events and ongoing contributions. Ken and his late wife, Val, loved their dogs like children.
He is survived by his mother Mary of Geneva, IL; siblings Kevin (Cris) of Tempe, AZ, Eileen (Rich) Coyne of Geneva, IL, Gregory of Estero, FL, James (Kristen) of Batavia, IL, and Michael (Julie) of Palatine, IL; many dear nieces, nephews, and other close relatives and friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his father, Arthur, sister-in-law, Maureen Costigan, and his wife, Val, who passed away in 2019.
Services for Ken will be held privately.
