Norma J. Smick, age 89, of Geneva, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva with her loving family by her side.
She was born October 12, 1929 in Ellisville, the daughter of Nelson and Hazel (Detrick) Wagner.
Norma enjoyed sports, watching Jeopardy, and playing card and board games, her favorite was Irish Checkers. She devoted her life to raising her family and she will be dearly missed by them.
She is survived by her children Jim (Regina Allegretti) of Schaumburg, Peggy (David) Murphy of Wisconsin, Paula of Geneva, and Steve of Geneva; grandchildren Tim Korpolewski, Audrey (Eric) Murphy, Jennifer (Joel) Goede, Kelsey (Ryan) Nigh, and Madelyn Smick, great grandchildren Sheamus and Logan Murphy, and Georgia, Ruby, Gus, and Clara Goede; sister Donna Greene of Galesburg; and many other dear relatives and friends.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Robert who passed away in 1999.
There will be a celebration of life on July 27,2019 from 1 pm until the cows come home at the house at 313 Wall Street in Geneva.
Services will be held privately at Oak Hill Cemetery.
