My sincere condolences to Colleen. I am saddened by the passing of Dr. Long. He was the kindest, gentlest, most skillful dentist. But what I will miss most after over thirty years of going to him is the friendly comraderie we had. And, I will dearly miss my semi-annual visits about life and family with Colleen. Know that I am praying for you.

I just learned of Steve's death tonite and I was so saddened to hear of your loss. I have known Steve for many years through our common interest in Cerec dentistry. He came all the way to my office in Minn to take a course i offered many years ago, and I taught with him a number of times over the years. He was such a kind and gentle man, and a very good dentist.... I was proud to consider him a friend....... peace to Mrs. Long and the entire family.

I just received the word from my mom, Marilyn Nelson. Dr. Long was a great dentist and I'll never forget his kind nature and good humor. He really has a special place in my heart. Once he spent a whole day with me when I was a young boy making fake fangs in his dentist's office with him and he showed me how to make a mold and cast teeth. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life and it made him the coolest dentist in the world for me :) I'll never forget him, and I have missed him as my dentist ever since I moved out to California. My condolences to the family and everyone at the dentist's office that has worked with him. He is truly missed.
